Our story

We do not make what we sell. We choose it.

Blushvelle is a small, edited shelf of skincare, hair and self-care, run from Orlando, Florida. It exists for people who do not want a ten-step routine and do not want to spend an evening reading ingredient lists to work out whether something is worth $30.

We are not a laboratory and we are not going to pretend to be one. We do not manufacture anything. What we do is go through a great many products, keep a small number of them, and write down exactly how to use each one and where it fits in a week.

The value is in what is not here

The shelf is deliberately short. It is meant to be read, not scrolled.

Along the way we dropped a hand cream we wanted to stock because the supplier could not be relied on to send the same thing twice. We dropped an LED mask because the return risk on a $119 device was not something a new shop should be handing its customers. We dropped one product after discovering that the listing we had been using had quietly died and was redirecting to a completely different formula — which is exactly the failure that makes people stop trusting small shops.

Every product here has a reason to be here. If we cannot write down that reason, it does not go on the shelf.

Three things we will not do

We will not write reviews. The star ratings on our product pages come from the original manufacturer listing, and we label them that way on every single page. We are a new shop. We have not earned thousands of reviews and we are not going to manufacture them.

We will not repeat a claim we cannot stand behind. Some of the products we sell arrive with a manufacturer listing that says things like “regenerates cells” or “treats hair loss”. We do not copy those across. Our scalp serum page says it is scalp care and says, in writing, that we are not going to tell you it grows hair. That costs us sales. It is not negotiable.

We will not sell you something other than what we describe. If a lip balm comes in one shade, the page names the shade. If a box of shower steamers is an assortment rather than one scent, the page says assortment. We would rather lose the sale at the product page than lose you at the parcel.

We will not publish a half ingredient list and call it full. For most of these products the manufacturer has not given us the complete INCI list. Rather than print a flattering extract, each page says plainly that we do not have it and offers to get it from the supplier in writing if a specific ingredient matters to you.

What you actually get

A product page that tells you who the product is for, where it goes in your routine, how often to use it, and roughly how long it lasts. Free shipping on every order. Thirty days to return anything unopened, and a full refund on anything that arrives damaged or wrong, opened or not. One email address, support@blushvelle.com, where a person reads what you wrote.

If you want to know what a product has to clear before it gets on this shelf, we wrote that down too: How we choose.
