How we choose

We do not make what we sell. What we do is choose it, and then tell you how to use it.

What a product has to clear

  • A cost we have verified ourselves. Not the number a supplier dashboard shows us. We open the real listing and read it. Products have been dropped from this shop because the real cost turned out higher than advertised.
  • Social proof we can point at. Real ratings and real review counts, from the source the product actually sells through, labelled as the manufacturer's numbers rather than ours.
  • A seller we can name. Most of these products come from the brand's own store on the supplier platform. A few come from an authorised seller instead. We check who is actually shipping the listing, and we re-check it monthly, because a listing that quietly changes hands is how a shop ends up sending something it never inspected.
  • Stock that holds. A product that vanishes for three weeks is not a product we can put in a routine.
  • A listing we would not have to hide from you. Some manufacturers publish a full ingredient list and some do not. Where one is published we read it, and we only repeat what it supports. Where it is not, the product page says so in writing instead of printing a flattering extract. What does not get on the shelf is a product whose own packaging makes claims we would have to disown — a scalp serum sold as a hair-loss treatment, an ampoule sold as collagen-boosting. We dropped four of those.
  • Margin that survives a discount. If a bundle discount takes it below what keeps the shop running, it does not go in a bundle.

What gets cut

More than what gets in. Products with thirteen reviews, listings that had already died, unbranded commodities dressed up as skincare, duplicates of something we already carry at twice the cost, and anything whose own listing promises a result we are not willing to promise.

What we will not say

We do not promise that a cream will cure, reverse, regrow or lighten anything. We say what a product does, roughly how long it takes, and what it will not do. That last part is what makes the rest worth believing.
